Played pretty well.
7/10 performance.
Most importantly - a defensive midfield who actually plays in defensive midfield.
Unlike a Noble who runs and leaves gaps!

Thought he was immense. Great pace kept up with the game completely and BLOCKED everything without fouling or coming close to hit. Exceptional marking and good enough touch that you can't peg him as a CB.
Arsenal fans haven't seen that since Patrick Viera fucked off for greener pastures.
Hope we get Song signed and healthy to back him up and play quite regularly though I'd say hes far too young to make more than 20-25 or so league appearances.

I thought it off he didn't play Thursday. Never 100% expected him to start today though!
Great display and as mentioned, disciplined in staying back in the proper holding role. The bbc have a map that shows jus mivement over the pitch and he played it to perfection. Exactly what we need, allows the full backs to bomb on more at home too

The kids against Forest were totally outclassed, and must have been devastated.
The kids against Astra lost, but they weren't outclassed. All of them can proud of their performances.
Seeing the difference is not rocket science.

Superb performance. Quite clearly he is going to the very top. Hopefully with us. Made Souness look a know nothing cunt. Which in fairness, was probably his easiest job today.
